INDEPENDENCE FORTNIGHT CELEBRATION

To promote the spirit of patriotism and love for motherland among the students the school organized a variety of cultural and literary activities. Maximum students participated enthusiastically in the activities.

   

A week before 15 August 2016 Housewise Patriotic Song- Singing Competition started in the school assembly. The hall resounded with soul touching songs that brought tears to many eyes.

      

      

Rakhi making and greeting cards for soldiers marked a tremendous response from students of all classes and expressed the bond of love that children have for their brothers at the border.

   

Children excelled in various other activities like Elocution, Painting & Essay competition on the theme of ‘Unique features of India’s freedom movement’& ‘Role of women in India’s freedom movement’.

   

   

The Mass Recitation of the National Anthem on 23 August 2016 at 11:00 A.M. earmarked the last day of the fortnight long celebration. With shoulders straight and heads held high, students of all classes from Primary to Senior sections together sang the National Anthem a befitting tribute to our country and our Independence.

Envisioning this the school, held its Investiture ceremony on 8th August 2016.

Sri Jai Pal Singh, Founder Manager RLB Group of Schools has always envisioned that RLBians should be empowered to be self-reliant by facing challenges in life.On this great occasion of Investiture ceremony of the new Office Bearers of the School, the newly appointed Council Members of RLBSchool marched in with heads held high, to the beautiful march beats of the school drum.

The event began with a special Prayer Service, followed by a very inspiring speech by the school Principal Ms.NirmalTandon. Her style of leadership was truly worthy of appreciation and had the students impressed. The newly appointed Council Members were adorned with badges and received the flag from the school Principal. She emphasised the importance of self-control, self-restraint, discipline and self-respect of the individual and the dignity of the school.

The new Head Girl, Monika Tandonpromised a definite change for the better tomorrow with great conviction in her confident speech. This was followed by the entire council taking oath to pledge solidarity and loyalty to the noble task of discharging their duties with sincerity and fulfil everyone's expectations.

Cleanliness promotes better health

Students of all classes participated enthusiastically in the mass movement “Cleanliness Drive”.Shunning all norms and breaking all shackles of conservatism, each child pledged to uphold the ideals of Swachh Bharat Mission to the fullest extent and for life time.

The students brushed, dusted, removed cobwebs, broomed, mopped and cleaned the classrooms and all important areas like the library, labs etc. The effects of this activity are widespread and long lasting. Discussions in the campaign addressed issues of personal hygiene, public sanitation, lack of awareness and the public attitude that withholds the masses in taking a proactive approach to the problem. ‘A Swachta Pledge’ was also administered by the whole School Community. Measures taken by us and a mass awareness for the impending danger can only solve this problem.


THE BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OF BABA SAHEB DR. BHIMRAO AMBEDKAR

To commemorate the birthday of Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar and his immense contributions for the people of India, 14 APRIL 2017 was celebrated with great enthusiasm, more than like a festival in the auspicious school assembly of Rani Laxmi Bai Memorial School, Indira Nagar, Lucknow.

It’s his 126th birthday anniversary celebration in the year 2017 to commemorate his memories. It was a big moment for the people of India when he was born in the year 1891.

Like ever before, a respectful homage was paid by the Respected Retd Assistant Commisioner Of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Dr G.S.Srivastava, the School Director Ms Nirmal Tandon and the Principal Ms Sunita Joshi by offering Garlands and floral tributes to the Honourable soul.

The School Assembly Hall buzzed with the attendance of 60 staff members as well as all the students from the lowest class to the Highest class.

In his endearing speech, Dr G.S.Srivastava, enumerated the appealing qualities of the great human rights activists, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, the father of Indian Constitution who had drafted the Constitution of India. The School Director highlighted the major role played by him in aiming to spread the necessity of education as well as enhancing the economic status and rebuilding the Indian Society by following the rule of equality of human beings.

A variety of events like painting, general knowledge quiz competition, essay writing etc were organized with great passion in which many students zealously participated. Thereafter Prizes were distributed

In an official ceremony of conferring titles and investing powers, to the members of the school council Rani Laxmi Bai Memorial Group of Schools conferred upon its students the honored responsibility to be the dynamic future leaders of the world. Visualizing this, the school held its Investiture ceremony on 25 July 2017.

He hoped that they be role models to their peer group and set the standards high for their juniors to follow. GRANDMOTHER'S & MOTHER'S MEET
Of all the gifts life has to offer,
mother’s love is the greatest of them all.

"Mothers have always played a special role in each of our lives. Their unconditional love, support and the feeling of a security blanket around us is unmatched and keeping this in mind, Rani Laxmi Bai Memorial School, C-Block Indira Nagar, Lucknow organised a warm and affectionate morning especially for them on 14 May 2017. On this special day mothers were invited for the musical morning which was Symbolic of the various hues of life and joy. The mothers were treated to a wonderful performance of songs, dance, drama highlighting the various roles played by the mother.

It was truly a memorable day when Grandmothers and Mothers of the students adorned themselves gracefully and took the time out to indulge in fun and frolic. Ladies attired in gorgeous dresses walked the stage in full splendor.

It was hard to decide who the children were and who the mothers. While the faces of mother bore a shy smile as they put in their full on energy in participation in games. The faces of their children lit up when they saw their mother’s enthusiasm and spirit. It all the more beamed with pride when their mothers won prizes and were felicitated with titles and awards. It brought a tear to many eyes.

Amidst loud cheer and noise, with great pomp and show the finale came to an end with promises of more performances the next year too.

In view to support and create awareness of ‘Green India, Clean India’ students of classes VI to XII participated in the Plantation Drive under the able guidance of the Director Smt Nirmal Tandon and the Principal Smt Sunita Joshi. The students were assisted by helpers who primed them on how to plant the saplings and their after care. The activity connected the students to mother nature and It fostered environmental sensitivity in them.

Teachers briefed on the role of herbs in day to day life. It is hoped that in the coming years the students will watch the tree grow and be able to recline in their exquisite splendor.


CREATIVE PEOPLE ARE CURIOUS, FLEXIBLE, PERSISTENT AND INDEPENDENT WITH A TREMENDOUS SPIRIT OF ADVENTURE

Fostering creativity and tapping the latent talent of the energetic students a formal Art and Craft exhibition was organised when the visiting parents could see creative utilization of experiential learning. The effective adaptation of children to new situations, active cooperation with others, self-motivation and a desire to work for one's own purposes was the highlight of the day. The smart students proudly presented the display and their gleaming eyes hungered for applause and appreciation from the visitors. The child’s competence and versatility was the showstopper trait.


CELEBERATION OF INDEPENDENCE DAY


With freedom in the mind, faith in the words ... Pride in our souls Rani Laxmi Bai Memorial Group of schools saluted the nation on the auspicious occasion of 70th Independence day.

Long years ago we made a tryst with destiny, and now the time comes when we shall redeem the pledge. The school foundation always takes a lead in celebrating festivals of national importance with its beneficiaries. This year too, it celebrated the independence day with its beneficiaries. This year too, it celebrated the independence day with its beneficiaries at all its branches in the Trans Gomti area, the day marked the celebration by students, parents and staff members in unity with great patriotism.

On the grand day, admist loud cheers and claps flag hoisting was done by Respected Director Smt Nirmal Tandon Ma’am. Each head was held high as all joined jubilantly in singing the National Anthem. Songs like Vijayi Vishwa Tiranga Pyara …., Hum Honge Kamyab …. And Vande Matram echoed in everyone’s heart reminding of the sacrifices of the patriots who laid down their lives in the freedom struggle. Slogans were raised pledging to uphold the ideals of our nation and promising to defend the country and serve the country in every possible way.

Post hoisting of flag, the festivity started off days before with decoration of the school campus, display boards in hues of tricolor. A plethora of cultural programs were organized by the enthusiastic students of all classes be it from LKG to class XII. The norm was to sing, dance perform skits and deliver speeches based on patriotic theme. The event ended with distribution of sweets and fruits to all.

CELEBRATION OF NATIONAL SPORTS DAY

To commemorate the birth anniversary of Indian National Game; ‘Hockey Legend - Major Dhyan Chand’; 29 August is celebrated as National Sports Day.

In the school campus, the day started in a befitting manner by paying tribute to the great player. Teachers briefed the students about the great legendary figure of India and the grit to reach the pinnacle of glory not once but multiple times.

The school buzzed with excitement and enthusiasm as each child eagerly participated in various games and events organised keeping in mind the class level.

The children learnt the values of discipline, timeliness, alertness, co-operation and displayed their flexibility as well as swiftness. At the end prizes were distributed to students.
