ParamVir Chakra Awardee Amar Shaheed Captain Manoj Kumar Pandey an Ex-RLBian, was an officer of the Indian Army who was posthumously awarded India's Highest Military Honour, the ParamVir Chakra, for his audacious courage and leadership during the Kargil war in 1999.

This year also the COVID outbreak could not undermine the spirit. It is in his remembrance that the whole RLB family, including the staff and students, in online interactions and classes, portrayed their indebtedness towards him by dedicating songs, poems, painting, sketches and collages to him. the fever of patriotism runs high in every RLBian.

SENSITISING AND CREATING AWARENESS

In the critical COVID times, in one of its initiative the school family brought up ‘THE GLARING GLOBAL ISSUE OF EXPLOSION OF WORLD POPULATION’online to the living rooms of each student.

Through slides, videos and audio aids the teachers in an online interaction shared this concern with the children. The children further actively participated in online collage, painting, drawing and slogan competitions on the said topic to sound the warning bell.

HELD IN A VIRTUAL CLASSROOM

The year 2020 brought the fatal Covid -19 with the school being shut down indefinitely. To bridge the education gap created, the school Management of Rani Laxmi Bai Memorial School Lucknow initiated the Online Classes from 7 April 2020 to 1 June 2020, thus ushering an era of teachers and students, entering a new world of virtual lectures, worksheets and assignments with both glued to computers and smartphone screens.

Interactive Live sessions between teachers and students by using keynotes, worksheets, self prepared audio-video PPTs were a must. After completion of study material, Solutions of each chapter in the form of PDF modules - structured - chapter-wise and topic-wise were given to students. Consequently, an assessment was taken for an in-depth analysis of student’s understanding.

E-learning poses a challenge to both teachers and students over technology and access, but it is keeping everyone busy with enriching their knowledge and experience.

Taking the children on a different spin of relaxation Virtual Health and Fitness Camp was launched through the online mode from 3 June 2020 to 21 June 2020 to keep children safe, engaged and active.

We remain committed to nurturing the potential of every child and teen, improving their health and well-being by providing resources for kids to learn, grow and thrive even when school's out.

ESSAY COMPETITION

The Indian Institute of Public Administration, Uttar Pradesh Regional Office, organised an Essay Competition in which First prize of Rs. 5000/- was won by Rupal of Class XI and Third prize was won by AsthaTripathi of Class XII of Rani Laxmi Bai Memorial School C-Block Indira Nagar Lucknow.

To commemorate the birthday of Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar and his immense contributions for the people of India, 14 APRIL 2018 was celebrated with great enthusiasm, more than like a festival in the auspicious compounds of Rani Laxmi Bai Memorial Schools,Lucknow.

It’s his 127th birthday anniversary celebration in the year 2018 to commemorate his memories. It was a big moment for the people of India when he was born in the year 1891.

Like ever before, a humble homage was paid by Honourable Sir, the School Directors and the Principals by offering Garlands and floral tributes to the Noble soul.

The School Assembly Hall buzzed with the attendance of all staff members as well as of all the students.

In his endearing speech, Sir, enumerated the appealing qualities of the great human rights activist, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, the father of Indian Constitution who had drafted the Constitution of India. The School Director highlighted the major role played by him in aiming to spread the necessity of education as well as enhancing the economic status and rebuilding the Indian Society by following the rule of equality of human beings.

A variety of events like painting, general knowledge quiz competition, essay writing etc were organized with great passion in which many students zealously participated. Thereafter Prizes were distributed.

In an official ceremony of conferring titles and investing powers, to the members of the School Council,Rani Laxmi Bai Memorial Group of Schools conferred upon its students the honored responsibility to be the dynamic future leaders of the world.

Visualizing this, the school held its Investiture ceremony on different dates in the month of July 2018.

Sri Jai Pal Singh, Founder Manager RLB Group of Schools has always wished that RLBians be good leaders, shouldering responsibility efficiently. He hoped that they be role models to their peer group and set the standards high for their juniors to follow. On the proud event of the Induction of the new Office Bearers as the newly appointed Council Members of RLB School, the school Halls resonated with the beautiful march beats of the school drum.

The event began with a special Prayer Service, followed by a very inspiring speech by the school Director Ms. Nirmal Tandon. Her style of leadership was truly worthy of appreciation and had the students impressed. She implored the students to keep the mantle of RLB flying high. The newly appointed Council Members were adorned with badges and received the flag from the Director. She emphasised the importance of self-control, self-restraint, discipline and self-respect of the individual and the dignity of the school. The new Head Girl/Boy promised a definite change for the better tomorrow with great conviction in her confident speech. This was followed by the entire council taking oath to pledge solidarity and loyalty to the noble task of serving humanity. All sang the School Anthem with great vigor and voice laced with pride and confidence.

REPORT ON MOTHERS’ MEET

Of all the gifts life has to offer,mother’s love is the greatest of them all.

"Mothers have always played a special role in each of our lives. Their unconditional love, support and the feeling of a security blanket around us is unmatched and keeping this in mind, Rani Laxmi Bai Memorial Schools, Lko paid a tribute to motherhood by organising warm and affectionate “Get Togethers” especially for them.

On this special day mothers were invited for the musical morning which was Symbolic of the various hues of life and joy. The mothers were treated to a wonderful performance of songs, dance, drama highlighting the various roles played by the mother.

It was truly a memorable day when Grandmothers and Mothers of the students adorned themselves gracefully and took the time out to indulge in fun and frolic. Ladies attired in gorgeous dresses walked the stage in full splendor.

It was hard to decide who the children were and who the mothers. While the faces of mother bore a shy smile as they put in their full on energy in participation in games. The faces of their children lit up when they saw their mother’s enthusiasm and spirit. It all the more beamed with pride when their mothers won prizes and were felicitated with titles and awards. It brought a tear to many eyes.

Amidst loud cheer and noise, with great pomp and show the finale came to an end with promises of more performances the next year too.

CREATIVE PEOPLE ARE CURIOUS, FLEXIBLE, PERSISTENT AND INDEPENDENT WITH A TREMENDOUS SPIRIT OF ADVENTURE

Fostering creativity and tapping the latent talent of the energetic students a formal Art and Craft,SUPW, exhibition was organised when the visiting parents could see creative utilization of experiential learning.

The effective adaptation of children to new situations, active cooperation with others, self-motivation and a desire to work for one's own purposes was the highlight of the day. The smart students proudly presented the display and their gleaming eyes hungered for applause and appreciation from the visitors. The child’s competence and versatility was the showstopper trait.

CELEBERATION OF NATIONAL FESTIVAL

With freedom in the mind , faith in the words ….. Pride in our souls Rani Laxmi Bai Memorial Group of schools saluted the nation on the auspicious occasions of National Festivals.

Long years ago we made a tryst with destiny, and now the time comes when we shall redeem the pledge. The school foundation always takes a lead in celebrating festivals of national importance with its beneficiaries. This year too, it celebrated with its beneficiaries at all its branches in the Trans Gomti area. The day marked the celebration by students , parents and staff members in unity with great patriotism.

Amidst loud cheers and claps due tribute was given to our Flag by Respected Directors. Each head was held high as all joined jubilantly in singing the National Anthem. Songs like Vijayi Vishwa Tiranga Pyara …., Hum Honge Kamyab …. And Vande Matram echoed in everyone’s heart reminding of the sacrifices of the patriots who laid down their lives in the freedom struggle. Slogans were raised pledging to uphold the ideals of our nation and promising to defend the country and serve the country in every possible way.

Post the flag ceremony, the festivity started off days before with decoration of the school campus and display boards in hues of tricolor. A plethora of cultural programs were organized by the enthusiastic students of all classes be it from LKG to class XII. The norm was to sing , dance perform skits and deliver speeches based on patriotic theme . The event ended with distribution of sweets and fruits to all.

IN THE SCHOOL CAMPUS, THE DAY STARTED IN A BEFITTING MANNER BY PAYING TRIBUTE TO THE GREAT PLAYER. TEACHERS BRIEFED THE STUDENTS ABOUT THE GREAT LEGENDARY FIGURE OF INDIA AND THE GRIT TO REACH THE PINNACLE OF GLORY NOT ONCE BUT MULTIPLE TIMES.

THE SCHOOL BUZZED WITH EXCITEMENT AND ENTHUSIASM AS EACH CHILD EAGERLY PARTICIPATED IN VARIOUS GAMES AND EVENTS ORGANISED KEEPING IN MIND THE CLASS LEVEL.

VIGILANCE AWARENESS WEEK

Rani Laxmi Bai Memorial School, Indira Nagar, Lucknow celebrated the Vigilance Awareness Week from 26 October to 31 October 2018. In one of its initiative to encourage the children to effectively contribute in nation building and an awarenessoftheir duties towards the society and societal issues, the school organized a plethora of activities for students of different classes.

Corruption is embedded in the whole system of the country, unless and until it is uprooted from the grass root level, prosperity of the nation will be negligible. Corruption is found to be one of the most damaging consequences of poor governance system. Who better to understand this than the young brigade who will shoulder the responsibility in future?The basic motto of this week was to create a corruption free society.

Essay-writing, Slogan-writing and Poster making competition were held for students of smaller classes.The Elocution and debate activity was held in the assembly while a Quiz Competition organised under the guidance of NABARD was conducted in the Activity Room.

There was an overwhelming response from the students as many participated with enthusiasm. Refreshments and Special Prizes were distributed to students who participated and won places in the competition.

THE EVENT WAS INAUGURATED BY ASSTT. COMMISSIONER KVS RESPECTED DR G.S.SRIVASTAVA AND THE DIRECTOR RESPECTED MS ASHA ARORA. THE EVENT SAW YOUNG ENTHUSIASTIC PARTICIPANTS FROM 50 SCHOOLS OF ALLAHABAD REGION IN THE EXHIBITION WITH OVER 75 PARTICIPATORY EXHIBITS COMPRISING OF INNOVATIVE WORKING MODELS AND INVESTIGATION BASED PROJECTS.

COMPLETE FREE MEDICAL HEALTH CHECK-UP CAMP

To ensure good health of its children A Free Medical Health Checkup Camp for students and staff was successfully organized in the months of August/September 2018 by The School Management under the guidance of doctors from reputed hospitals.

The doctors undertook free physical examination supplementing with advices to children on various issues of health.

AWARENESS FOR PREVENTION AGAINST VECTOR-BORNE DISEASES

The month of July 2018 was celebrated as an Awareness generated Campaign for prevention and cure against Vector-borne Diseases.The General Health and Hygiene of students for a Healthy mind is an indispensable part of the school agenda.The school sensitised the students about the harmful effects, prevention and cure against Vector-borne Diseases. Students enthusiastically performed skits and nattaks, poem recitation, slogan writing competitions & Speeches emphasising the necessity of maintaining strict hygiene, vaccine and immediate treatment to the patient.

COMMENCED FROM 12 SEPTEMBER 2018 TO 15 SEPTEMBER 2018. ANNUAL ACTIVITIES & EVENTS:

1. GURUTSAV

On the occasion of teacher’s day, 5th September 2014, Rani Laxmi Bai Memorial School celebrated ‘Gurutsav’ with great enthusiasm. The day started on an auspicious note by garlanding and paying floral tributes to DrSarvepalliRadha Krishnan in the morning Assembly. The students dedicated songs and speeches to their teachers and presented handmade cards as well as flowers to them. An essay competition on the topic ‘Education and Teachers’ was held for classes I – XII.
A rendezvous which was destined to create history and bring about an epic change.
The day 5th September 2014, was the harbinger of full on thrill and exhilaration in students and teachers both. Students of Rani Laxmi Bai Memorial School were highly excited and eagerly awaited the most sought-after Programme of Honourable Prime Minister Sri NarendraModi’s Live Interaction with the youngest brigade of Human Society, the citizens of Tommorrow – the students themselves. As per the directions of Central Government and the DIOS Office Rani Laxmi Bai Memorial School had made extensive preparations for the screening of this historical experience.
The authorities took no chances. LED screen, projectors, Television Sets with Net/cable connection had also been arranged in school halls as well as in classrooms and if all failed to work, connection of transistors to microphones were also set.
Proper light and sound and generator facilities were made and it was ensured that the streaming is not hampered due to any fault. School timings were also altered so that students and Guardians found it convenient to attend the program.
The school Hall and Students were previously informed through written notice and announcements in the assembly as well as by putting up notices in the school premises. Instructions were given to the students, who could not stay back, to watch the telecast at home and note down the points that will be discussed in the school the next day.
Though it was not mandatory, still the overwhelming response was highlighted in the huge number of students who turned up to view the screening. The school halls were packed to full capacity. Both students and teachers enthusiastically participated and viewed the program.
The feedback of the students was overwhelming.

2.CBSE (EXPRESSION SERIES) ON PANDIT DEEN DAYAL UPADHYAY

The school is committed to the holistic development of students and we feel that students of today must be aware of the selfless & valiant services of the women and men who have served the nation. CBSE announced Expression Series on PanditDeenDayalUpadhyaya that opened from 19th September 2014 to 22nd September 2014. PanditDeenDayalUpadhyay’s birth anniversary was commemorated by CBSE, on 24th September 2014. Online Entries were submitted in the form of essay, poem, drawings, paintings and one act plays. Several students participated in it with zest and zeal.
The entry of Aakanksha Pandey &Annu Pandey of Rani Laxmi Bai Memorial School,in the poem category was selected for a cash prize of Rs.5000.

3.CBSE (EXPRESSION SERIES) ON SWACHCH BHARAT – SWACHCH VIDYALAYA CAMPAIGN
(From 2nd October 2014 to 15th October 2014)

Realising the dream of our honorable Prime Minister Mr. NarendraModi to make India, a country of Gandhi’s dream, CBSE organized ‘Swachha Bharat Abhiyan’ commencing from 2nd October to 15th October 2014, in which all CBSE affiliated schools took part enthusiastically. This mass movement was launched on 2nd October and will be in continuation in future too.
Activities pertaining to education cannot be confined to a set pattern. The horizons of such activities are unlimited and a vast range of activities on varied themes converging on hygiene & sanitation were presented before the students. The students eagerly took the initiative in their role for a green & clean earth by planting saplings, cleaning of their classrooms and school campus as well as drawing posters and paintings with suitable themes, self-composed poems and small couplets. The morning assembly sensitised the students on their empowering and active role in the ‘Clean India’ campaign.
Various activities were held during this period including community sanitation, essay writing, poster making, slogan writing etc. The students of various classes registered their entries online for this occasion. Entries were sent individually, pair & team wise on a daily basis. The students of almost all our branches won several prizes. Such commendable awareness programmes must be carried out in future also.

4. CBSE- RashtriyaEktaDiwas (National Unity Day)

Rani laxmi Bai Memorial School responded in unison to the call given by honorable Prime Minister for the “RUN FOR UNITY” to commemorate the birth anniversary of the ‘Iron Man of India’ SardarVallabhbhai Patel on 31st October, 2014.
Promoting creativity among the students, CBSE observed this day as RashtriyaEktaDiwas (National Unity Day) and directed all affiliated schools to conduct various activities such as essay writing, poster making, speeches, race, pledge taking, each with a motive to advocate unity in diversity. The school provided an opportunity to reaffirm the inherent strength & resilience of our nation to withstand the actual & potential threats to the unity, integrity & security of our country.
In the school assembly, ‘RashtriyaEktaDiwas Pledge’ was collectively taken by students & teachers both thus administering the spirit of unification followed by the speeches based on the life and achievements of SardarVallabhbhai Patel and his role in unification.
Thereafter the teachers and students participated in a “Lap for Unity” in the vicinity of the school. Teachers along with a battery of energetic students flagged off the run for unity from the school campus. Patriotic slogans of “VandeMataram” and “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” along with the slogans based on unity, integrity and security echoed everywhere. Enthusiastic future pillars moved in the surrounding and left no stone unturned in conveying the message that they would guard the unity, integrity and security of the nation in any circumstances. The children held banners & posters symbolising the need and awareness of being a united nation.
The day saw a jubilant participation at the City Centre - Rani laxmi Bai Memorial School Sector-14 Indira Nagar Lucknow, where students from different schools energetically participated in poster and slogan making competition. The program on the day included a brilliant enactment- Jingles, where the students depicted themselves as the great leaders and patriots, thus invoking the emotions of security, generosity and unity, making everyone conscious of these values in life. Various activities were conducted that focused on collectively making posters, collages, participation in debate etc. At junior and primary level, indigenous games and sports were organized. Students participated enthusiastically and got an opportunity to show their inherent strength.Very attractive and informative posters, paintings and collages were prepared involving collaborative efforts and conveying the message of importance of unity in sustaining any work like keeping public places clean, unifying languages, rivers, customs, festivals, and national symbols for national growth and ensuring safe environment for all. This combined effort proved a milestone in infusing budding children with a great feeling of love for one and all. The programs on this remarkable day ended with collective singing of the National Anthem. It was an appreciable step taken by CBSE.

5. CBSE(EXPRESSION SERIES) ON BalSwachchta Mission on Children’s Day

CBSE Expression Writing Series on ‘BalSwachchta Mission’ commenced from 14th to 19th November 2014. Rani Laxmi Bai Memorial School celebrated the occasion with a divine assembly conducted by teachers themselves. The teachers enacted skits and sang songs as the eager children watched with wonder, glee and amazement in their eyes. A wide range of online competitions were held under the able guidance of CBSE. Many students participated and proved their creative potential in the form of article, poems and posters. The students participated with Great Spirit to show their inclination towards maintenance of cleanliness.
What a befitting start to a program being on Children’s Day.
The day was infused with fun and frolic for all age-group of students. Amusing and entertaining Games were organised for classes LKG to VIII students. This saw a healthy participation at all levels. Several exciting competitions like Innovative Hand Painting, theme based Rangoli making, poster-making, slogans and creative skills in Mehndi, saw a generous indulgence by the students. A lively cooperation and coordination of the students was seen as they excelled in all group activities.
The students of class I to XII were the missionaries here. Several students bagged prizes in the competition held in a series.

6. CBSE- UDAAN

To address the teaching gap between school education and engineering entrance as also to enrich the teaching and learning of Science and Mathematics at School level, the CBSE launched a project to provide free online resources to girl students of Class XI and Class XII for preparation of admission test for the premier engineering colleges in the country.
The special focus of project Udaan is to address the low enrolment ratio of girl students in these prestigious institutions and to enable girl students to receive special incentives and support so that they can join these institutions and go on to take leadership roles in the future. The objective of this project is to enable girl students to soar to higher education from schools, and to eventually take various leadership roles in future. The project aims at addressing the lower enrolment ratio of girl students in engineering colleges. The aim is also to enrich and enhance teaching and learning of Science and Mathematics at Senior Secondary level by providing free and online resources to everyone, with a focus on special incentives and support to 1000 selected disadvantaged girls per year.
Rani Laxmi Bai Memorial School, Sector- 14, Indira Nagar, Lucknow was entrusted with the proud responsibility for the Live webcast of lectures by eminent resource persons.
ShipraYadav and Varsha Rani of Class XI have been selected for this program. Each child has been provided with a Tablet, Study Material etc. These students will have access to an online portal which will be organised on the basis of Class XI and Class XII with three subject streams – Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Once logged in, students will be monitored and tracked. Points accrued during assessments will be converted to money used for fees, if selected in IITs and NITs.

7. CBSE 3rd International Life Skills, Values, Gender, School Health & Well Being Regional Summit 2014

Celebrating the elements of life skill, the 3rd International Life Skills, Values, Gender, School Health & Well Being Summit 2014, organized by CBSE was held successfully on 11th and 12th October 2014 at Rani Laxmi Bai Memorial School, Sector- 14, Indira Nagar, Lucknow.

Ms. Astha Sharma, a Consultant Clinical Psychologist at the Institute of Child Development and Adolescent Health, MoolchandMedcity, New Delhi, was the resource person.
On 11th October 2014, the summit started with lighting of the pious lamp by the Chief Guest Shri JamunaRai, Retd. Asstt. Commissioner, K.V. Sangthan, Delhi region, Delhi. Ms. Astha Sharma, the resource person; Mrs. Asha Arora , Principal, Rani Laxmi Bai Memorial School, Sec-14, Indira Nagar , Mrs. Nirmal Tandon, Principal, Rani Laxmi Memorial School C-Block, Indira Nagar, Lucknow and other dignitaries, followed by SaraswatiVandana presented by the students of Rani Laxmi Bai Memorial School.
‘The Global School Health Exhibition’ was declared open by the Chief Guest. The Judges Shri A.K. Rastogi& Shri S.N. Singh very enthusiastically examined the display material at the various stalls.
Rani Laxmi Bai Memorial School C-Block, Indira Nagar, Lucknow displayed an exhibiton Swachh Bharat; Nirmal Bharat thereby inculcating Life Skills, School Health and Well Being in the Students
This exhibit was adjudged the best by the judges.
The exhibit showcased the sad plight of the epitome of our rich cultural heritage – our rivers – Maa Ganga – and her woeful cry. The majestic flowing river is polluted due to the mismanagement and carelessness on our part. The stern measures taken by us and a mass awareness for the impending danger can only solve this problem.
The School Health Exhibitions were innovative and meaningful and helped students to learn much more about Global School Health and Well Being Programme. It saw a plethora of ideas all amalgamated judiciously so that the end result was stunning and with intense revelations.
In the Thematic Jingle event participants from various schools exhibited their talent and enthusiasm judged by Ms. MithileshSehgal, Retd. Principal, Harish Chandra Inter College Lucknow, ShriJamunaRai, MsUsha Srivastava, Retd. Music Teacher, Navyug Radiance Sr. Sec. School & Dr. G.S. Srivastava.
Rani Laxmi Bai Memorial School, Indira Nagar, lucknow presented a jingle on Swachh Bharat Abhiyan highlighting the importance of cleanliness exuberantly enacted by Girls who sang the jingle to music and also performed a skit stressing on the need to maintain a certain degree of civic sense and personal hygiene not only for self but for the greater objective of a clean and healthy nation. Songs on Gender & values and thematic jingles, held in the auditorium, mesmerized and exhilarated everyone in the hall with joy. It was surprisingly a treat to have so much talent under one roof and to savour every moment of the Summit.
Poster Making Competition was held in the school library and the Judges were Ms. MithileshSehgal and Shri U.S. Garg. Lt. NavneetRai Conference Hall was allotted for ‘The wellness Elocution’ and the Judges were Shri S.M. Dixit and Ms. SitaSethi. ‘The Adolescent Whiz Quiz’ was held in School’s Math Lab. It was a real test of the student.
Adolescent Whiz- Quiz and Wellness Elocution, also helped the students to know more about gender sensitivity and problems & changes during adolescent age. It was heartening to see how well informed our younger generation is while some of them also learnt from their shortcomings. All was not lost in vain as with realizations dawning on them, they resolved to improve and better adapt to the challenges life lay ahead for them.
On 12th Oct-2014, the second day of the Summit, the event started with a warm up session. A video was shown to sensitise students towards the problems and agonies borne by the disabled and their perception of the world. Everyone was spell bound and gave a huge round of applause.
The Co-Scholastic Festival started with ‘The National Youth Health Parliament’ various questions on Government and educational policies, Health and Physical appearance, enthusiasm, substance abuse, problems of adolescents were raised. The participants participated actively and presented their thoughts and opinions eloquently. Prizes were awarded to the participants to motivate the students.

8. 5th National Painting Competition on Water Conservation Organised byMinistry of Ground Water Resources

To promote knowledge & good practices among students through creative writing and to achieve a ‘Clean India’ and motivate children to observe proper sanitary habits, the Ministry of Water Resources River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation- Central Ground Water Board conducted the 5th National Painting Competition on Water Conservation.
It aims to make children aware about need of conserving their precious resource and at the same time would involve their parents in this noble cause.
Saumya Mall of class VIII, Rani Laxmi Bai Memorial School, Indira Nagar won a cash prize of ` 1200/-, A school Bag with water bottle, Jacket, T-shirt with cap, boxes of crayons and colours. She qualified for the State Level.

9. JAGRAN SANSKARSHALA-

To inculcate moral values and to develop positive thinking, DainikJagran, a prominent Hindi National Newspaper, conducted written objective type test. There was a mass participation in our school.

10.INTERNATIONAL MOTHER TONGUE DAY-

The day 21st February 2015 was heralded as ‘MatribhashaDiwas’ in the precincts of Rani Laxmi Bai Memorial School, C-Block, Indira Nagar Lucknow. It ear-marked the dawn of an enthusiastic carnival where jubilant participation in a plethora of activities organised for young toddlers of Nursery to Seniors of class XII students was exhibited.
The ambience of the day was laid right from the start with the conduct of the Assembly which began with recitation of Sanskrit shlokas, Gayatri mantra and the commands given to the students were all enunciated in Our Mother Tongue ‘Hindi’. The Principal reiterated the need of the greater use of Mother Tongue for better communication skills.
The strong sense of awareness and affinity to our Mother Tongue was eminent in the vigour and zeal in which the children took part in Creative Writing i.e. Essay writing, Self-composed Poems, Elocution, General Knowledge Quiz Group Songs based on Regional Languages to give a flavour of that region, Collage Making, Speeches highlighting the importance of Mother Language, Enactment of Famous Quotes and Sayings of Some Important personalities, Preparation of Display Boards and Green Boards.
The day sensitised the students as to the Importance of our Mother Language Hindi and strived to inculcate in them the attitude of promoting, preserving, appreciating and learning other languages too for the development and progress of the Nation.

For Classes III to XII: Special days are conducted through Discourses, Speeches, Debates & Collage Presentations by Resource Persons (Peer Teachers).

DIGITAL INDIA AWARENESS WEEK:

Rani Laxmi Bai Memorial School C-Block Indira Nagar Lucknow, enthusiastically participated in the DIGITAL INDIA AWARENESS WEEK CELEBRATIONS, a joint venture of the Central Board Of Secondary Education and the Department of Electronics and Information Technology to showcase the Government of India’s initiatives in the area of e-Governance among students.

The students participated in an online challenge on Cyber safety and Cyber Wellness. Designed as a fun engaging quiz activity It used knowledge based as well as scenario based questions to encourage participants to think, decide and choose an action that ensures their online safety and security. Students’ critical thinking as well as decision making capacitywas fully exercised.
The competition opened for almost a fortnight starting from the 1 July 2015 to 17 July 2015. There was a mass participation from eager, enthusiastic students of classes VI to VIII and IX to XII. During the whole fortnight, the school made apt arrangements in the well-equipped high tech Computer labs for hassle free participation of the students in any period of the regular school time. Certificate of Participation and Certificate of Merit were immediately downloaded from the website. Since the results were instantly displayed, it served as a booster for others as well.
It is certainly a program to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy.

AAVISHKAR QUIZ SERIES:

In its endeavor to support the RashtriyaAavishkarAbhiyan, CBSE had announced a series of quiz competition to promote creativity and innovative spirit among school children in the area of Science, Mathematics and Technology.

On 9th July, 2015, the program was successfully launched by the Ministry of Human Resource Development and Rani Laxmi Bai Memorial School, C-Block, Indira Nagar, Lucknow mandatorily conducted the AAVISHKAR QUIZ series School Level Competition on the same day.

It was held in three categories – Primary, Middle and Secondary. Students in the age group of 6-18 years were engaged in answering questions. The school competition was held at 2 stages. In the first stage, a questionnaire was given to all the interested participants and thereafter a list of top 24 students was shortlisted from each category. These students qualified for the second stage which was the quiz round. A power point presentation was prepared for the said purpose that acted as effective visual stimuli to induce curiosity, excitement and the spirit of innovation and exploration amongst the school children. Maximum participation was encouraged. The selection of the candidates was made in an impartial manner and two best students of each category were shortlisted.

RAKHI MAKING & MESSAGE WRITING ACTIVITY:

DainikJagaranorganised 'Rakhi& Card making activity' for sending them to our Jawans guarding our borders . Aditi Sinha, Ishika Srivastava, Tripti, Sayma khan, RichaDubey and Peehu Kumar of Class-X, Deeksha Pandey, Tanya Mishra, AnuradhikaYadav, Priyanshi Raman, ShizraFaizan and Pooja of Class-IX as well as about ten thousand students of Rani Laxmi Bai Memorial Group of Schools from classesVI to X participated in the event.

With the idea of instilling a sense of pride for our soldiers among the students right from the early age, this activity was planned and Rakhis were made and handed over to be couriered to the Jawans on the LOC and Border.

The students in their own way tried to make Rakshabandhan a special occasion for their soldier brothers at the border. "Through Rakhis we extend our gratitude and thankfulness towards our valiant soldiers and also want to assure them that the new brigade is readily there to follow in their footprints.”

“Gandhi Auditorium in the Governor House, Uttar Pradesh has never been so blessed, honoured and sanctified as it is today”- were the humble words of the Honourable Governor, Uttar Pradesh, Sri Ram Naik, the distinguished Chief Guest, who graced the occasion with his dignified presence in the ceremony commemorating Captain Manoj Kumar Pandey, Param Veer Chakra, the chivalric Ex Student of Rani Laxmi Bai Memorial School, on his sixteenth death anniversary.

The students of the school initiated the programme with VandeMatram producing a patriotic fervour in the air that prevailed upto the end of it. The presentation of a short movie based on the life of Captain Manoj Kumar Pandey made all the people emotional bringing tears of gratitude and respect into their eyes for the brave soul of Mather India. Distinguished speakers shared the stories of Captain Manoj Kumar Pandey’s indomitable courage, fortitude and strong determination with the audience. On this momentous occasion, Honourable Governor also released the book- “The Hero of Batalik” penned by Pawan Kumar Mishra, a classmate of Captain Manoj Kumar Pandey in the Sainik SchoolLucknow. Mr. Pawan narrated the glorious accounts of the fearless martyr of Kargil War anfd his journey from a meritorious student to a splendid martyrdom.

Sri Jai Pal Singh, Founder Manager RLB Group of Schools has always envisioned that RLBians should be empowered to be self-reliant by facing challenges in life.On this great occasion of Investiture ceremony of the new Office Bearers of the School, the newly appointed Council Members of RLB School marched in with heads held high, to the beautiful march beats of the school drum.
The event began with a special Prayer Service, followed by a very inspiring speech by the school Principal Ms.NirmalTandon. Her style of leadership was truly worthy of appreciation and had the students impressed. The newly appointed Council Members were adorned with badges and received the flag from the school Principal. She emphasised the importance of self-control, self-restraint, discipline and self-respect of the individual and the dignity of the school.
The new Head Girl,Riya Narain promised a definite change for the better tomorrow with great conviction in her confident speech. With freedom in the mind, faith in the words…. Pride in our souls Rani Laxmi Bai Memorial Group Of Schools saluted the nation on the auspicious occasion of 69th independence day.
Long years ago we made a tryst with destiny, and now the time comes when we shall redeem the pledge. The school foundation always takes a lead in celebrating festivals of national importance with its beneficiaries. This year too, it celebrated the independence day with its beneficiaries at all its branches in the Trans Gomti area.the day marked the celebration by students, parents and staff members in unity with great patriotism.
On the grand day, amidst loud cheers and claps flag hoisting was done by Respected Principal Ma’am. Each head was held high as all joined jubilantly in singing the National Anthem. Songs like Vijayi Vishwa Tiranga Pyara….., Hum Honge Kamayab…. And Vande Mataram echoed in everyone’s heart reminding of the sacrifices of the patriots who laid down their lives in the freedom struggle. Slogans were raised pledging to uphold the ideals of our nation and promising to defend the country and serve the country in every possible way.
Post hoisting of flag, the festivity started off days before with decoration of the school campus, display boards in hues of tricolor. A plethora of cultural programs were organized by the enthusiastic students of all classes be it from LKG to class XII. The norm was to sing, dance perform skits and deliver speeches based on patriotic theme. The event ended with distribution of sweets and fruits to all.

VIGILANCE AWARENESS WEEK

Rani Laxmi Bai Memorial School, Indira Nagar, Lucknow celebrated the Vigilance Awareness Week from 26 October to 31 October 2015. In one of its initiative to encourage the children to effectively contribute in nation building and an awarenessoftheir duties towards the society and societal issues, the school organized a plethora of activities for students of different classes.
Corruption is embedded in the whole system of the country, unless and until it is uprooted from the grass root level, prosperity of the nation will be negligible. Corruption is found to be one of the most damaging consequences of poor governance system. It is characterized by lack of both transparency and accountability. Corruption lowers investment and hinders economic growth also human development. Who better to understand this than the young brigade who will shoulder the responsibility in future?The basic motto of this week is to create a corruption free society.
Slogan-writing and Poster making competition were held for students of VI to VIII.The Elocution and debate activity was held in the assembly while an essay Competition organsied under the guidance of NABARD was conducted in the Activity Room.
There was an overwhelming response from the students as many participated with enthusiasm. Refreshments and Special Prizes were distributed by the Principal to students who participated and won places in the competition.
